1. Sign in to the LearnCentral Portal or create a new account.
2. Browse the Learning Catalog for details for courses, duration and pricing, including how to purchase with Training Units.
3. Register for a training course.

Certification Exams

Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS)

The Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS) certification validates your technical knowledge and expertise in a specific Arctera product.

To earn this certification, candidates must pass a proctored VCS exam that covers Arctera training materials, product documentation, and practical job tasks.

Veritas Certified Professional (VCP)

The Veritas Certified Professional (VCP) certification demonstrates expertise across multiple Veritas products in a specific solution area. It validates the skills needed to design, architect, and implement solutions for Insights, Data Protection, and Availability.

To earn this certification, candidates must pass a VCS exam for each product in their chosen solution area.

Insights Certified Professional:

Must pass Enterprise Vault Exam and eDiscovery Exam.

Availability Certified Professional:

Must pass InfoScale Storage Exam and InfoScale Availability Exam.

Training Units: Simplify Your Arctera Education Purchases

Training Units are a flexible, prepaid option for buying Education training. They can be used for all types of training, including:

• Onsite Instructor-Led Training (ILT)
• Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
• Veritas Learning Lab
• Private, custom courses

You can purchase Training Units via Purchase Order (PO) and redeem them for courses provided by Arctera or an Authorized Training Partner.

How Training Units Work

Think of Training Units as a prepaid card. Purchase as many units as you need in one transaction, and use them within 12 months for any Arctera Education offering, including certification exams. This approach gives you the flexibility to buy the right amount of training to suit your business needs.

How to Register with Training Units

• Log in to LearnCentral or create an account.
• Verify your Company name matches the “Entitlement Owner Company” on the TUA Certificate.
• Search to find your desired course/class.
• Ensure the price is showing in Training Units by clicking the blue Training Unit at the top right of the page.
• Click Proceed to Payment and select Pay by Training Units.
• Enter your Agreement Number and click on Search.
• Click on Apply and Confirm.

If your agreement number does not come up in the search, please contact your regional Veritas Education Representative for support.
