The Latest from Arctera Insight: Deepening Oversight

Soniya Bopache
GM and VP of Data Compliance
Earlier this year, I shared our vision for oversight in the age of AI, a model that moves faster than legacy governance ever could. With this release, we’re taking another step toward that vision.
Arctera Insight continues to evolve, deepening oversight, broadening coverage, and strengthening transparency across AI, cloud, and collaboration data. This focused release helps compliance, legal, and risk teams maintain defensible oversight as information grows in scale and complexity.
Every new channel, assistant, and data type expands how organizations create and share intelligence—and what must be governed. Our goal is to help teams innovate freely while keeping every interaction secure, compliant, and accountable.
When information moves everywhere, we need clarity, confidence, and control everywhere too.
Deeper Oversight of AI Conversations
In our last release, we introduced Microsoft Copilot Capture, bringing AI-generated dialogue into established governance frameworks.
Now, we’ve enhanced that capability. Copilot Capture adds richer context for prompts and responses in the Arctera Insight Collaboration View. Reviewers and investigators can see the full flow of AI-assisted interactions, ensuring the same defensible oversight applied to human communications extends to AI.
AI is now part of the conversation. Oversight should be too.
Broader Oversight Across Communications
New channels mean new oversight demands. This release adds surveillance support for Zoom, Cloud9, Verba, and Microsoft Teams audio and video.
Compliance and security teams can now oversee voice, video, and chat interactions through one unified view. No blind spots or silos—just comprehensive visibility across the collaboration landscape.
File Governance in the Cloud
As collaboration moves to the cloud, oversight must extend to stored data. The new SharePoint Online archiving and stubbing capability adds file-level visibility and lifecycle control, helping teams reduce exposure and meet retention requirements.
Files can be archived automatically based on attributes like modification date or classification tags, replaced with stubs, and restored by users when needed. It’s efficient, compliant, and built for scale.
Transparent and Defensible Oversight
Oversight requires transparency. This release adds usage and storage reporting, self-service reconciliation, and audit tracking to give administrators clear visibility into how data moves through the system.
These capabilities make governance measurable and auditable, helping teams validate data flows, demonstrate compliance, and maintain readiness for regulatory or internal review.
More visibility means stronger control.
Smarter AI Insight
Insight AI now runs on the Azure OpenAI GPT-4.1 - nano model, delivering faster summarization and review at greater scale. For eDiscovery and investigation teams, that means faster, deeper insight across larger data sets.
It’s governance that keeps up with intelligence.
Defining What Comes Next
Deepening oversight is part of a larger vision: redefining how organizations govern data, communications, and AI-driven interactions in a world that never stops evolving.
With every release, we’re strengthening the foundation for modern governance — oversight that’s intelligent, defensible, and ready for what comes next.
